Little Updates

There seems to be a lot going on around here and I want to make sure and document it all! It is REALLY hot this week so what better to do than swim! The kids love to swim, especially fearless Anna, and Davis has fallen in love with his water wings (aka floaties).  It makes me feel better because anytime we are around a pool he must wear them! Davis's speech has been drastically improving everyday and he is starting to have little conversations with us and tells us what he wants, what he thinks, and where everyone must sit. It is adorable. He is getting much better at taking turns and sharing, especially with Anna (or A-A as he calls her). He also tries to be sneaky sometimes when trying to get what he wants - like cookies. He will get two out and say one is for A-A. So thoughtful of him right? I must also note that he has been exceptionally sweet and obedient this week. No major meltdowns. I am starting to think it is because Daddy is around more. The past couple of weeks, Davis has had some really tough afternoons and evenings and it is hard on everyone (especially Mommy). But this week, he has been in a great mood and we have had so much fun! We went on a family outing to Costco on Monday and he ran right over to the flowers and said "for Ma-Ma". My heart was melting. And we did come home with some beautiful flowers. Thank you Davis.

Anna is all over the place and I have appropriately nicknamed her "Houdini". This child will be up in the middle of the dining table, arms in the air, within 2.5 seconds. I turn around to wash my hands, and POOF there is Anna in middle of the table, or in the fireplace, or rocking in the glider. She is FAST! She adores Davis, but unfortunately, gets a little beat up by him at the same time. She continues to think it is hilarious though. Her favorite word is more. And she wants "more" of everything. Especially any food. She says ma-ma and da-da. She calls her paci a "nay-nay". She knows where her belly is and she knows she is SOOOOO pretty (imagine hands straight up in the air). She is so fun and always making us laugh. Today she has been giving everyone her paci - Mommy, Daddy, and Lucy. She loves hairbrushes, and hoards them as she finds them. She is starting to become a little picky when eating, but still eats really well.  She loves to feed Lucy, but does not appreciate being reprimanded while throwing food off of her tray. She is so tall - already in 18 to 24 months clothes. She loves shoes and carries them all over the house. We often have a hard time finding the pair when we are ready to go! I would love to just freeze them both. They are so much fun. I am so blessed to spend every day with them.
