Whidbey, Day 2 - Port Townsend
We woke up, early of course, on Friday morning and it was beautiful outside! This was our first summer trip there with the kids and it was so enjoyable to have such amazing weather. We decided right away to take advantage of our first day and take the ferry over to Port Townsend, a neat little touristy town across the water. We had been talking about this for a couple of years now, so we were excited to finally make it happen. It was the kids first ferry ride!
Once we arrived we cruised around town in search of coffee and a wonderful bakery that Nonna had read about. We hiked up a mountain of stairs (Davis climbed them ALL himself) and weaved our way through streets until we found the famous Pane d'Amore. We tried some delicious baked goods and wonderful coffee. Davis picked out about 5 things, ate one little bit and picked out something else. Go figure.
After stuffing ourselves, we continued to cruise around town. Anna loved standing up in the stroller, with her tongue out. It was hilarious.
Then we discovered the shore and some cool boats!
The kids were a little off with the two hour time change, so we headed back to Whidbey! It was a great trip to Port Townsend!
We had lunch at the famous Knead and Feed and then had an enjoyable afternoon at home! It was a great day!
*Note: I have SO many pictures from this whole, and cannot include all of them in the blog. I will upload to an album and send out so you can see them all!
